I loved your story about pretending to be a cat when you were a kid (I had similar tendancies, and many a kitty hat have made), so I was wondering if you have ever read the kids book 'The Sign on Rosies Door' by Maurice Sendak (author of Where the Wild Things Are), in which the imaginative heroine Rosie (you guessed it) pretends she is a cat. She even goes so far as to sleep curled up on the mat at night. It's priceless.

Hey! Nice hat - love the photos of your cat looking somewhat disdainful of the hat. I was lead to this entry from another blog - and felt compelled to comment on the size of the kitty hat - I've made this hat three times now, all in the early stages of my knitting - i.e. the "Gauge? What's a Gauge? Don't you check times with a gauge?" stage. HOWEVER, I too found this hat to be quite small, so I added about an inch worth of stitches. Much better... my face looks less like i'm being regurgitated by a cat.
