I’ve realized that I TALK a lot about knitting, but I so far have shown nothing to PROVE I actually DO it!
Thus, I bring you the PARADE OF ALL THINGS KNITTY!(a.k.a. FOs 2004)
This is a hat I made for my SIL’s birthday (per her specific ‘order’) It’s based on the kittyville hat and made with the first ball of yarn I EVER BOUGHT at a LYS!!! It’s Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran and remains my favoritest yarn EVER!
Of course, it looked WAAAY TOO CUTE on my baby niece, so I promptly made her a matching one so they could have mommy/baby matching hats. hee! (I don’t have a pic handy of her in HER hat though, just this uber-cute one of her in her mommy’s hat)
This is an iPod cozi I made for the boy. It was made with Manos Stria in black and green and I kinda jsut made up the pattern. Someday I’ll write it up, so if you want a copy, let me know and I’ll pass it on
Here it is with the iPod in it…
And here is the nifty hole in the top so you can plug in the headphones and use your ipod with the cozi ON. YAY! (it’s my favorite part )
This is my version of the Chinese Charm bag in Stitch n’ Bitch. Since Noro Gemstones is discontinued, I thought I’d investigate some of the other Noro Yarns and decided on Silk Garden. It’s about half the size it would have been if I’d followed the pattern, which I like. I wanted it to be more purse-like than tote-like. Cute and pursey! The Bag is going to be a gift, but I can’t say for whom, in CASE…ya know.
This is the bag lining. Overall, I like the bag I think. I was worried that the handles might be too big for the bag. I dunno. Maybe they are, but I think I’ve come to terms with it. It’s still cute. I *think*. heh.
Hayley wasn’t all that enthused about making the bag. She’d rather EAT yarn than make things out of it, but she DOES like getting all up in my pictures.
so see? I DO actually make things! AND I FINISH SOME OF THEM!!!WOOO!
I’m not gonna show you pics of my blanket till it’s done, all of it’s manymanymanymany mistakes and ALL.
Hope you had a great holiday weekend!
