I haven’t been knitting much. Or Sewing.

Mostly all I’ve been doing is working, watching ridiculous quantities of LOST (season 1!) episodes in a feverish attempt to catch up, and driving to and from the Bronx.

I wish The Bronx was closer. I wish the Bronx was DC, or that DC was the Bronx. Whichever. Either way, it would mean that Adam wouldn’t be 4.5 hours away.

I miss him :(

We had two pretty great weekends these last two weeks. Really nice weekends. The kind that possibly make you puke rainbows, with Merry-Go-Rounds and ice cream and flowers and cozy afternoon naps.

And Alligators.

Don’t see it?

Maybe this is better?

Hee!!! Adam and the kids and I met my brother and co. at the Bronx Zoo. Ashley and Elias had superfungoodtimes together. The two of them are so cute it can literally turn your heart into a puddle (forGET what happens when you put the 4 babies together! Just make sure you have insurance.)

I also got to spend lot of time alone with Adam and the boys. It’s a brave new world for me, dating a man with babies — a challenging one — but also a really sweet one.

The knitting is coming back, but slowly. The weather is cooling down, so hopefully, the inspiration will rush in. I’m hoping to bring you a little more knitting and a little less smittenkitten.

‘Cause otherwise I know you’re gonna come after me.

(after you recover from the Cute Overload, that is.)

Pardonnez-moi, s’il vous plait…

Apparently, I’m the type of girl who will call our her friend for blogging once a month and then go all MIA myself! NICE WORK, VIBE.

I WANT to blog. I THINK about blogging. I even take PICTURES FOR the blog. Yet, no blog.

{{{le sigh}}}

It’s partly because I’m still adjusting to the new schedule. Can I just say that having a bedtime SUCKS?!?!?! LOL! So do alarm clocks. However, being exposed to regular amounts of sunlight is quite refreshing!

My absence is also due to the fact that I’ve been kinda UP to stuff. You know, like…

Going to Paris

I swear I did not scan a postcard..

I {{heart}} Paris.

Incidentally, Parisian women never tinkle on the seat.
Do they not squat? How do they do it?

The catacombs are creeeeepy.
Also? There’s a place called Creposuk that actually has a disco ball in the bathroom. They call it the “Disco Toilette”. There are lights and everything. It’s run by these guys.

I want to kidnap my boy and move to Paris.

Condo Shopping.

Powder blue EVERYTHING with dark green linoleum.
Did you KNOW they make powder blue toilets?

Not sure what was going on here.

Spiral staircases and hardwood floors are niiiice.
Probably not nice enough to make me wanna buy ALL NEW APPLIANCES though.

This skylight COMES with all new appliances.
and cathedral ceilings!!!

Going to concerts!

Snow Patrol at the 9:30 Club

They played with Augustana
and they were pretty damned good!

Baking!(while watching the mind-numbingly boring “Dancing with the Stars!”)

Peach Upside-Down Cake!
While it certainly LOOKS better, it does NOT taste better than the one my boyfriend made for me.

I haven’t been knitting! AND I haven’t even been to a yarn shop since I stopped working at Knit Happens!!! I don’t know what’s wrong with me! I have been sewing a little, but the results are so unsightly, there are no pictures.

I’ve been missing you guys though… :(

Hopefully, I will get back into a knitting/blogging groove, but should I disappear from this place again, you can always find me here. I know it’s not the same, but the updates are nearly daily (they kinda pay me, so I hafta keep up on it ;) ) AND it’ll help you stay in touch with the latest trash-talkin’ gossip! YAY!

Happy Hump Day!!!
