Well alright, so November is pretty much over.
But, SO FAR, SO GOOD!
I mean, bad things still happen – a bunch of my friends got fired, I got into a fight with one of my best friends, I got a $900 damage bill from my old apartment (thanks, CAT!) – but all in all, November’s been ALL. RIGHT.
AND! I made a new knitting friend! Her name is Natasha and she just moved to the area, so after the holiday, I totally plan on giving her a tour of the good yarn shops YAY!
Speaking of knitting, I’ve actually been DOING some! YES! FINALLY! (Nothing like cold weather to drag it back out of you, no?)
Last week, I spent some time on this:
The little box on top
No, I didn’t knit the box I knit the hat inside the box. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any pictures of Adam in his birthday hat So, until I do, you’ll just have to take my word that it looked super
cute HOT on him
I’ve also been working on this pink bit of wonder that I dug up from the depths of forgotten knits:
Yep. Rogue. Who knows if I’ll actually finish it this year, but we can all dream…
I am about 10 rows into the body and I already have the sleeves done from two years ago or whenever it was I started this thing. My only consolation is that Paula (who started with me) never finished hers either. However, I think she’s on the hood, so basically, I just suck
If I get *really* bored, this is also on the needles:
I call it the ugliest sock that ever lived.
It’s knit in a color of Lorna’s Laces that I *swear* looked pretty in the hank.
Pink, turquiose and beige were just not meant to mix together that way, I suppose.
I’d show you a picture of that yellow baby beanie I was working on last time I showed you something knitty, but it really hasn’t progressed much since then. What can I say? I got bored. It doesn’t help that the intended recipient has likely outGROWN the thing already :-\
So yeah, November. Not bad. The Epic Holiday Battle Against Traffic that I am about to fight might kill the month for me, but then again, maybe not. I’ve got my iPod… it *might* turn out just. fine. Who knows. If you DO happen to see a girl running in circles and screaming on the side of the New Jersey Turnpike tomorrow night, you’ll know what happened.
Be safe and have a Happy Thanksgiving.
