It Only Took Me 6 Months!

YOU might be wondering about THE CONTEST. Would you believe that only TWO people got it right?!!?!?!!?!? CRAZY! I guess it was harder than I thought!!!

AAAnnyway, you’ll have to wait to find out who won because I haven’t sorted out the prizes yet…

Instead, I wanted to show you this:

The Bittersweet Socklettes are DONE!

Here they are with my goofy mary-janes that are held together by a safey pin

How wierd is it that, as I got higher up on the foot, the stripes got narrower and started to match the first sock?!!?!?!

WOOO!!! FO!!!!

I made these little socklettes out of ONE hank of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock in Bittersweet on size US1 bamboo DPNs. As you can see from the first pic, I have quite a bit left over too!! Since I originally bought TWO hanks of LL in Bittersweet, that also means I have one FULL hank left over as well. Hrm… whattodo, whattodo…

Now, lately, being a blogger an’ all, I’ve been taking pictures of *everything* with the full intent of blogging about it! However, most of these things have gone unblogged. :( Sad. Since there is just *never* enough blog-time, I will give you the quick slide-show recap of some of the things I meant to blog about:

This is a pic of me with two of the guys from Papa Roach!
Jacoby (the singer) is on the left and Jerry (the bassist and my future husband ;) ) is on the right :)

This is Ebony performing with her students at the Sahara Dance bellydance recital.
If you live in the area and ever want to take Bellydance classes, you should TOTALLY take Eby’s class. She rocks.

This is part of the line for the midnight showing of STAR WARS Episode III at the Uptown, opening night.
Note the Lazy-boy. That girl’s sister had been camping out for DAYS.

This little duck joined us for dinner the other night at the Rio.
He was hiding from some crazed children. About ten minutes later, he was joined by his three friends. Those kids were TOTAL poster kids for birth control!

That’s all for now, I guess. Check back to find out who won The Big Contest! It MIGHT be YOU!! (oooooo!!!)

Your socklettes are so damn cute! And they look amazing with your MJ’s :) I made a pair out of one skein of LL’s too, very handy. Unfortunately mine were my first pair of socks and therefore sucked. I’ll have to retry.
